ECDI is one of the largest SBA microlenders in the US, providing funding and education for thousands of small businesses and focusing resources on typically underserved populations of business owners.

The Story

ECDI reached out in need of a re-brand. Their branding at the time wasn’t a reflection of the top-tier work they were doing, and was lacking a unified system, making it difficult for them to create new on-brand materials, and maintain consistency across the board.


We did a total re-brand, building out a suite of logos, brand guidelines, and a new website. Since then we’ve created a variety of marketing materials including their Annual Impact Report, 5 years and counting! Their new brand is bold, friendly, modern, and memorable, and helps to set them apart as a leader in the industry.

Branding

Using the three core tiers from the old logo (invest, educate, innovate) we created a new logo centered around the idea of growth with a sleek, modern look. We created an entire suite of logos with different orientations, taglines, as well as logos for some of ECDI’s sub-brands. We created a new color palette, new fonts, and new patterns and graphics to make the brand unique and recognizable and put together a brand guide to help them better use the new brand.

Extending the Brand

Since creating the new brand, we’ve implemented it across a variety different marketing materials, including a website, event signage, and the annual Impact Report, which we’ve been designing for 5 years and counting!
